Ana Ivanovic stormed into the quarter final of Australian Open 2008 as she continued her impressive run in the tournament. The fourth seed, Ivanovic projected a straight-sets victory over Caroline Wozniacki, of Denmark, in the fourth round yesterday. The Serbian dominated over her Danish opponent in the 6-1 7-6 (7-2) victory. Ana Ivanovic started the match in style, reeling off the first set in just 31 minutes. However, Ana Ivanovic faced much more resistance from Caroline Wozniacki in the second set which was decided in a tie-breaker. With this victory, Ana Ivanovic set up another grand slam meeting with Venus Williams in the quarter final.

Ivanonovic's 6-1 7-6 (7-2) victory lines her up with Venus Williams for a place in the semi-finals.
Venus Williams defeated Marta Domachowska from Poland in her fourth round match 6-4, 6-4. Both Ivanovic and Venus have not dropped any set in the tournament yet. However, they are going to face some strong challenges in the quarter final clash from each other. Ana Ivanovic met Venus Williams on four occasions and lost in all the matches. Now, let us see if Ana Ivanovic can win against Venus Williams for the first time.
