Russia vs England EURO Qualifier: Frank Lampard Likely to Play the Match

Ahead of the upcoming EURO 2008 qualifying match against Russia, England midfielder Frank Lampard is expected to come back in the England line up. England will play in 4-3-3 formation against Russia. The Chelsea striker missed last three qualifiers of England because of his injury. Now, it seems that Frank Lampard is coming back in the crucial match.

Bangkok Post reported:
Gareth Barry, so capable in replacing Lampard, would retain his place in midfield alongside Steven Gerrard, with Shaun Wright- Phillips missing out as England field a front three of Wayne Rooney, Michael Owen and Steven Gerrard.
Captain John Terry remains a major doubt in the middle of defence as he struggles to overcome a knee injury, while Ashley Cole will definitely not start, having damaged his ankle in Saturday's 3-0 win over Estonia.

For England, it is very shocking that they are missing some important players ahead of their match in Moscow. England defeated Russian in the home match last month by 3-0. Though it seems that England dominated in the match over Russia, it was not the case. Rather the match was competitive. Now, no doubt, ahead of the home match against England, Russia must play their best to take the revenge of it. So, the fans can expect a competitive match.
