US Open 2007: Roger Federer Reaches at the Semi Final

Roger Federer is now just two matches away from fourth consecutive US Open title which will be an open era record. No. 1 ranked Roger Federer defeated another favorite Andy Roddick to reach at the semi final round of US Open 2007. Though Federer won the match in direct three sets, it was not too easy for him to beat the 5th seed Andy Roddick. Federer won the match by 7-6 (7/5), 7-6 (7/4), 6-2. So, you can see, first two set were decided though tie breaker.

Both the stars played very well in the match and their serves were excellent in the match. However, Federer was in his top form. You know that when Federer is in his prime form, he can not give any chance to his opponent. The same thing happened in the quarter final match against Andy Roddick.

Roger Federer will face fourth seed Nikolay Davydenko in the semi final match. Nikolay Davydenko is also playing excellent in the tournament. However, it would be difficult for him to stop Roger Federer. Now, let us hope an excellent match in the semi final round.
