Real Madrid Thinking of New Striker to Defend La Liga Title

You already know that Real Madrid lost to Sevilla in the second leg match of Spanish Super Cup 2007. Real Madrid also had earlier lost the first leg match by 0-1 but this time the score line is 3-5. Spanish La Liga 2007-2008 season is now knocking at the door. So, such unexpected performance of Real Madrid now makes the club officials worry regarding the coming La Liga matches. Real also lost some of their pre-season friendly matches and thus the overall situation of defending la Liga champion, Real Madrid is now well.

After the defeat to Sevilla, Real Madrid called a crisis meeting in order to analyze the team’s bad performances over the last few matches. In that meeting club officials talked have taken some important decision. Brazilian defender Cicinho would not be sold though earlier it was though to be and Real Madrid will throw a new offer to Chelsea for the winger Arjen Robben.

Coach Bernd Schuster wanted a striker to help Dutch striker Ruud van Nistelrooy. Now, Real Madrid is thinking about Diego Milito of Real Zaragoza, Inter Milan forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar from Ajax.

I think, Real Madrid needs some good, solid defenders and strikers at this moment as this season they lost strikers like David Beckham and attacking defender Roberto Carlos who played for Real Madrid many years. Now, ahead of La Liga 2007-2008 Real Madrid should recruit some skilled footballers to fill up those gaps. I hope they will have some promising footballers in the team for the coming season.
