Brazilian Striker Emerson Leaves Real Madrid for A.C. Milan

Ahead of the Spanish La Liga 2007-2008 season, Brazilian Midfielder Emerson has recently left Real Madrid and joined to AC Milan. Emerson came to join Real Madrid last season along from Juventus. He played 28 matches in total for Real Madrid and was one of the proud members of last season’s La Liga winning team. It is apparent that Emerson was not happy with Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon and the team management.

"In difficult times during last season" the Brazilian complains "I was never called by the president, he hasn't behaved well toward me. There is a big gap between players and management of this club. This is one of the club's main problems, you must always valuate your players". After his attack on Calderon, Emerson told the Spanish newspaper that he is pleased the affair is over. "I am very happy to go to Milan.

Emerson also said that Real Madrid fans will always be in his heart. Emerson played 73 international matches for his country Brazil. He also played for Bayer Leverkusen and A.S. Roma in his club career. Actually, Real president Ramon Calderon was earlier criticized because of his open criticizing to some of the front line players like former players David Beckham. Ramon Calderon became Real Madrid president in July 2006 and he got success in his very first year as Real Madrid won the La Liga 2007-2008 title. However, Calderon faced huge criticism after sacking the winning coach Fabio Capello.
