Venus Williams to Meet Ana Ivanovic in the Women’s Single Semi-Final of Wimbledon 2007

Venus Williams has reached in the semi final of the Wimbledon 2007 women’s single. In her way to the semi-final Venus defeated no. fifth seeded Svetlana Kuznetsova in straight two sets 6-3, 6-4. The three time Wimbledon winner Venus Williams had earlier defeated hot favorite Maria Sharapova in the fourth round. Venus will meet rising star Ana Ivanovic in the semi-final. The other two semi-finalist of Women’s Single are Justine Henin, the top seeded women’s player, will meet Marion Bartoli who holds the no. 18 position in the WTA ranking.
