Naohiro Takahara: Leading Scorer of Asian Cup 2007

Naohiro Takahara is now the highest goal scorer of Asian Cup 2007. He ahs already scored three goals for Japan yet and he is now in a good form. Japan won their second match against UAE by 3-1 in which Takahara scored twice. Takahara also scored in the first of Japan against Qatar. The match was 1-1 draw.

Japanese coach Ivica Osim also praised Takahara for his impressive performance. Takahara currently plays for Eintracht Frankfurt in Germany.

Gulf-daily-news reported:
Japan coach Ivica Osim singled out Takahara, who is the current tournament top scorer with three goals, for praise.
"Because of his killer instinct, Takahara is able to play in Germany," said the Bosnian coach, who led the former Yugoslavia to the 1990 World Cup quarter-finals.
But Osim was forced to substitute him after an hour on a hot and humid evening, because he complained of pain in his body.

Takahara has already become one of the biggest Asian stars. His football skill is really something special in Asia. Japan came to play Asian Cup 2007 with the hope of winning the cup for three consecutive times and I think Naohiro Takahara will play an important role to make the dream true for Japan.
