British Players Doing Well in US Open wheelchair Tennis

Though British players are not seen in the dominating form of International tennis, British people are dominating in the wheelchair tennis tournament. In the US Open wheelchair tennis competition, British people won three titles in this competition.

On this regard of winning the tennis title, I am quoting from BBC:

“Former national champion Jamie Burdekin (Bootle, Merseyside) eased to victory in the Quad Second Draw Singles final. Burdekin, unseeded after recently returning from a year out, breezed past American second seed Rafael Zamarippa 6-1, 6-0 to earn himself what will be a significant rise in next week's world rankings.

There was further British success in the Men's Second Draw Doubles final on Saturday when top seeds Alex Jewitt (Dronfield, Derbyshire) and United States-based Briton Shane Everitt-Sharpe defeated second seeds Maurizio Nicolo and Anatoly Polyatykin 6-2, 6-1”

This is a good sign that British people are doing well in the wheelchair International tennis. So, it can be expected that through this tennis players, British players will be inspired to hold Grand Slam titles which has been a rare incident in the international tennis.
