You already know that Maria Sharapova has lost to Polish Agnieszka Radwanska in their third round of US Open 2007. Being the defending champion of US Open, Sharapova was one of the strongest contenders of the tournament. However, after the shocking defeat, Maria Sharapova has not made any excuse of her unexpected lose at the third round. Rather, Maria Sharapova thinks it was just a bad day for her and she now looks forward to the New Year.

"There are no excuses," Sharapova said. "It's not like today I stepped out on the wrong side of the bed or I did something differently."
"Especially being the defending champion, it's tough," Sharapova said.
"It's definitely not an easy day at the office for me. But I could sit here all day long and come up with excuses and say how bad I played. At the end of the day my opponent won the match and I lost it.
Maria Sharapova admits that the year 2007 is not her best year but she does not want to think about it much. Sharapova thinks that she has her whole future ahead of her. It is nice that Sharapova has some positive outlooks towards her career. I think, Maria Sharapova has some qualities that will lead her to many more success in her career. The defeat can be the revival of her career.
