Nicklas Bendtner: I've got the patience to wait until I get the chance

Nicklas Bendtner is a talented striker but for Arsenal he is yet to make his mark. Last season, he got some goals but this season he suffered more with injury and his form has not been that impressive or consistent. Last night, Bendtner could feature in the match against Wigan and he scored a goal even. Now, Arsenal has now three strikers and now they are Bendtner, Robin van Persie and Marouane Chamakh.
Bendtner has stated that he would be patient and he would try his best to get his spot in the club. In other words, he is going to fight for his position and he has ruled out any possibility of going to another club on loan. There has been a lot of rumor that Bendtner will be sent to another club with loan.

Will it be the season of Nicklas Bendtner?

Last Saturday, Nicklas Bendtner scored a goal for Arsenal in a Premier League match against Sunderland. This goal helps Arsenal a lot and because of that win, the Gunners are still in the title race. Many fans were delighted with the performance of Nicklas Bendtner in the last few days. He was injured for nearly three months and missed a good number of matches in this season. Many fans and media people called on Arsene Wenger to get another striker because Arsenal top striker Rob Van Persie has been also injured for long time and he will be out of action for the rest of the season. However, Arsene Wenger felt that Bendtner is a top quality player and he put his faith on him.
Now, Bendtner has come back and he looks fresh and impressive. He has played in the last few matches and in all of them he could encourage his team mates. Because of the return of Bendtner, Arsenal has now one good point. In the penalty box of the opposition team, they have a height advantage as Bendtner is a very tall player.
Nicklas Bendtner is hopping that this will be his season. He has become matured and he has been sometimes in London clubs. He believes that he will try his best and give good response to the faith shown on him by Arsene Wenger. Many fans have also the same feeling that it will be the season of Nicklas Bendtner.

Arsenal vs Bolton on 06 January: Return of Nicklas Bendtner?

Arsenal is going to play against Bolton tomorrow night and if they can win this match then they will be within one point of leader Chelsea. This is turning out to be a dramatic comeback for the Gunners because just a month ago they were trailing Chelsea by eleven points and most experts thought that their season was over. However, in the recent weeks, both Manchester united and Chelsea faltered and on the other hand, Arsenal players showed some remarkable performance. As a result, at this point of time, they have become a serious title contender in this season. Injury problem is their main concern and they are suffering a lot in the striking position. One good news is that in tomorrow’s match, Nicklas Bendtner can make his come back from injury.
Nicklas Bendtner suffered for many weeks and his comeback is a welcome news to everyone of the club because they have been suffering a lot. Now, the main problem of Arsenal is not having top players but having their best players injured. Nicklas Bendtner is just 22 years old and he has already become matured as a striker.

Nicklas Bendtner Out for Maximum 4 Weeks

Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner will be out of action for up to 4 weeks with his groin injury sustained during Arsenal’s 3-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur. So, he could come back just before the Christmas. He is increasingly becoming a very important player for the North London club.

Nicklas Bendtner scored 15 goals last season in all competitions. Even the players has continued his good form this season too as he netted 3 goals in his 8 appearances for Arsenal. In his absence, Robin van Persie would have to take extra responsibility, but the way Arsenal has demolished Wolverhamption 4-1 in the recent premier league fixture, it seems that the Gunners would not have any big problem to deal with Nicklas Bendtner.

Arsenal might Swap Nicklas Bendtner for West Ham’s Matthew Upson

(This entry was originally published on Monday, January 5th, 2009)

Arsenal might go for a swap deal with London neighbor West Ham United, bringing Hammers defender Matthew Upson in exchange of their Danish striker Nicklas Bendtner. Besides Bendtner, Arsenal would also have to pay about £4.5 million to land the central defender who excelled in his position at West Ham United so far this season. The recent contrastive form of Bendtner and Upson suggests that Arsenal might be the winner of the rumored swap deal as the North London club needs to bolster their back line to remain in the title race of premier leagues as well as in Europe.

While Upson has been in an excellent form so far this season for West Ham United, Bendtner fared poorly for the Gunners. So, it seems that Wenger might be happy to get an experienced player like Upson in Arsenal back line at the expense of 20-year-old unsettled striker Bendtner who scored only 6 goals from 40 premier league appearances for Arsenal. Matthew Upson joined West Ham United in a move away from Arsenal in 2003. Upson played at Arsenal from 1997 to 2003. Upson played 51 premier league matches in West Ham United outfit with a goal to his credit. Now, Arsene Wenger may have a reunion with his former student, if the deal comes into existence.
