Mr Kensaku Konishi, President & CEO, Canon Singapore Pte Ltd. visits Dhaka

Recently, Kensaku Konishi, President & CEO, Canon Singapore Pte Ltd., came to Bangladesh on a two-day trip. The country has a thriving ICT sector and Canon has been here for a long time. To see the condition of the technology market of Bangladesh and gain some ideas about Canon’s position here was the main goal of his visit.

During his two-day visit, Mr. Konishi met with the distributors of Canon products in Bangladesh. He attended a meeting with the ICT journalists. Mr. Konishi expressed his happiness to see the enthusiasm of Bangladeshi people for technology and Canon products. He said that Canon’s corporate philosophy was “Kyosei.” It means all people, regardless of race, religion or culture, harmoniously living and working together for the future. The main goal of his company is not just selling products but working together with the government and community to build up a prosperous society.

Mr.Konishi told the journalists that South and South East Asia was a very important region for Canon. Over the years, Canon observed healthy growth in this region. Bangladesh has a thriving ICT market and Canon is a successful brand here. He expressed his satisfaction over the performance of JAN Associates- local distributor of Canon products. He spoke highly of Mr. Abdullah H. Kafi, Managing Director, JAN Associates.

Mr. Konishi visited JAN Associates office in Dhanmondi and talked with the employees. He was satisfied seeing their hard work and dedication to promote Canon product in Bangladesh. Later, he attended a dinner party where he met with dealer, corporate and media people.

Abdullah H Kafi also expressed his satisfaction over the visit of Mr.Konishi. He said that JAN Associates, since its inception, had been working to promote Canon in Bangladesh.
