Sir Alex Ferguson hopes Dimitar Berbatov will score 25 goals this season

Manchester United manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, wants his striker Dimitar Berbatov to set a target of 25 goals for the season and lead his club successfully to the Premier League title.

Bulgarian footballer, Dimitar Berbatov, is now in good form. He scored two goals which led Manchester United to win over Sunderland on Sunday. So far he has scored 13 goals in the league champion.

He will have to score 12 goals more to reach his target. However, it is not an easy task for any terrific striker like him.

Ferguson said their chance of winning the title would depend on the performance of Berbatov if he could get 25 goals. He also admits that his club is in good form.

Manchester United is leading the English Premier League point table with 37 points off 17 matches. They are still unbeaten this season. They are expected to be hitting form just at the right time after sealing their fifth consecutive league victory.

However, their arch rival, Manchester City, is in the second position with playing two more games than United.

Dimitar Berbatov did not play against Arsenal which United won by 1-0. But he was restored to the line-up against Sunderland.

According to Ferguson, Berbatov could be the key player for United who can lead his club to another title chance.

It is the time to see if Berbatov can play a big role for his club.
