Ryan Giggs Excited about Javier Hernandez

Manchester United midfielder Ryan Giggs has been overly excited about young Red Devils striker Javier Hernandez. The Mexico international produced the winning goal for United’s 1-0 midweek victory over Valencia in Champions League after coming on as a second half substitute.

Giggs has even gone on to compare the 22-year-old striker with former United great Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The veteran midfielder said that he was excited seeing Hernandez in the pre-season and believes that the Mexican is natural finisher.

It was Hernandez’s first competitive goal for Manchester United and it came when his team needed it most. It looked to be a draw before the excellent strike from Hernandez.

It is not surprising that someone like Giggs is comparing Hernandez with his once teammate Solskjaer. Hernandez had a very successful World Cup with Mexico and is considered as a future star for Mexico.

While Wayne Rooney has been a worrying factor for manager Sir Alex Ferguson this season, strong performances from Hernandez and Berbatov must have relieved his worry to some extent.

At the moment, Manchester United is facing more problems in the backline. The likes of Evra, John O'Shea exposed too many occasions this season, costing United valuable points. They are now 3 points adrift of leader Chelsea.
