Asus unveils AMD based Eee PC 1215T

Popular laptop maker, Asus, is now facing tough competition to sustain their top place in the laptop market. It seems that their new netbook from Eee PC series will move them in the top position once again.

AMD based Asus Eee PC 1215T comes with a 12.1-inch ultra-portable laptop. It is seen in at least one European store and will be available for pre-order with a price tag of €445. In the US, it will be priced at $499.

It is not exactly a netbook, but its specifications will be similar to those of entry-level mobile PCs.

Featuring a 12.1-inch LCD display, Asus Eee PC 1215T is centered around the AMD Athlon II Neo K125 central processing unit with a frequency of 1.7 GHz.

It also has 2GB of DDR3 memory, which is double the amount available on most other entry-level laptops currently on sale.

It also features Radeon HD 4225 integrated graphics with a native resolution of 1,024 x 600 pixels. It has full control over the screen itself.

It also has a 250GB hard drive capacity and Gigabit Ethernet. Other features include are WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, 4GB of RAM and a HDMI output.

The Asus Eee PC 1215T comes with the Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Operating System pre-installed into it.
