Priyanka Alva and Vivek Oberoi getting married soon

Popular Bollywood actor, Vivek Oberoi, is getting married and the bride to be is Priyanka Alva, daughter of late Janata Dol Politician, Jeevaraj Alva and dancer, Nandini Alva. The two are going to tie the knot most probably in September or October.

The marriage was arranged by Bharatnatyam dancer and choreographer Padmini Ravi, a close friend of Nandini Alva. 28 year old Priyanka Alva finished her Business Management Graduate from London. She is currently working in the NGO, Artistes Foundation for Arts. Priyanka also helps her mother to arrange various cultural festivals. She also launched few salons, M&W at The Leela and Taj Westend and several orphanages.

Nandini Alva, mother of Priyanka Alva, is very happy with this marriage. She said, “This marriage has come as a blessing from all our well-wishers and friends. Though this is an arranged marriage, my daughter is very happy……This is a very special occasion and we as a family are rejoicing……Vivek and Priyanka share a great passion for social work. That is their best connect……Priyanka completed her education in New York, where her subjects dealt with non-profit organizations and social work. She is very pleased with the fact that Vivek also shares the same passion, having contributed and worked towards aiding several social issues.”

Reliable sources said that Priyanka Alva is a “level-headed and intelligent” woman and comes from a non-filmi background and of sweet nature.

Earlier, in an interview, Vivek Oberoi said that he would not mind marrying a girl of his parents’ choice. He also said, “I am sure the match my parents pick will turn out to be the girl of my dreams.”

Born on September 3, 1976, in Hyderabad, Vivek Oberoi is the son of actor, Suresh Oberoi. Vivek Oberoi is among few Bollywood actors who won audience’s heart in their first outing. He debuted in Ram Gopal Varma’s Company in 2002. For playing the character of Chandu aka Chandrakant Naagre, Vivek own Filmfare Awards for Best Debut and Best Supporting Actor.
