Eduardo has to learn Russian at Shakhtar Donetsk

You should already know that the other day Arsenal sold Eduardo for nearly 6 million pound and he has joined the Ukrainian champion club at Shakhtar Donetsk. He is getting a good salary there of 50 thousand pound a week. It may not be that good in Premier League standard but it is very good in Ukrainian league.
The new club has given him the condition that he must learn Russian language within four months. I am somewhat confused because it is a Ukrainian club and in Ukrainian the language is Ukrainian not Russian. Well, in second thought, I found in Wikipedia that around 75% of people the region that the club is situated are speakers of Russian language. Most probably, because of this reason, the player has to learn the language.
Eduardo said, "I'll spare no effort to learn the language, especially since a lot of the words in Russian are similar to Croatian. I'm ready to talk to anyone, but, honestly, I don't really like talking to journalists!'
Shakhtar are now a highly respected team in Europe. They may meet any team, including Arsenal. I'll play against them like I would any other."
Anyway, Eduardo has said that it will not become very difficult because he will try his best and there are many words that are very similar between Russian and Croatian languages. Eduardo is from Croatia
