Shah Rukh Khan replaced by Hrithik Roshan for captaincy

Bollywood superstar, Shah Rukh Khan, has given a miss citing on his Twitter account and he has given the excuse of work load for not attending at the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards this year that will be held in Sri Lanka.

Shah Rukh Khan, who was supposed to be the star attraction of this year’s IIFA awards function, was named captain of the Indian celebrities’ cricket team who will play against Sri Lanka in a charity cricket match.

As he is supposed to skip the event, he will be replaced along with another Bollywood superstar, Hrithik Roshan. From various media reports, it has been cleared that Hrithik Roshan will be the captain.

Big names like Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek Bachchan and daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will not attend in this function.

It is reported that Amitabh Bachchan will make his short appearance before the start of the function. Sri Lanka is all set for the 11th International Indian Film Academy Awards despite all the Tamil groups and South Indian film industry call for boycott.

Let’s see if IIFA Awards ceremony can become successful without some super stars. The three day event is scheduled to start from June 3, 2010.

May be, fans have been affected by the FIFA World Cup 2010 fever. The creator of football game, England, has announced their final squad for the upcoming World Cup.
