Maxi Rodriguez to Return for Chelsea Clash

Liverpool’s Argentine midfielder Maxi Rodriguez is all set to return for Liverpool’s upcoming clash with Chelsea on Sunday. He was not part of Liverpool line up against Atletico Madrid in the Europa League semi-final match on Thursday. It is definitely good news for the All Reds who are currently missing a number of players through injury.

Dirk Kuyt has got over the calf injury, but a late call over his availability for the Chelsea match is expected. Javier Mascherano would also go through a late fitness assessment. Another striker David Ngog is also doubtful for the game.

Liverpool would like to pick up 3 points from the game in its bid to clinch the Champions League spot for next season. Chelsea will consider it as a title deciding match as they are just one point above second place Manchester United with 2 games left in the season, United has 2 easy opponents in the coming matches meaning they would most probably pick up full points from those games. So, for Chelsea it is a must win game if it wants to retain the premier league title.
