Liverpool Future Looks Bleak

It is now more than an open secret that Liverpool has been under huge debt and its poor season proves that the club has already started suffering. It was just in 2005 when they defeated AC Milan in the final to win the Champions League. This season, the club has even failed to qualify for Champions league next season. Besides, they were agonizingly failed in Champions League as well as in UEFA Europa League.

It is a clear hint that something needs to be done as soon as possible to save the club from further downfall. The fraction between manager Rafael Benitez and the club owners Gillett and Hicks is now pretty much clear, and a miracle change in Benitez’s mind could only keep him at Anfield next season. He is already been linked with a move to Juventus, another high-profile European club who failed to qualify for champions league next season. More importantly, a number of star players have also started seeing their future away from Liverpool.

Goalkeeper Pepe Reina has been linked with Arsenal, while Barcelona is eyeing on Javier Mascherano. Manchester City revealed their interest to sign star Spanish striker Fernando Torres. Last season, Liverpool lost someone like Xabi Alonso to Real Madrid, a loss they could not yet recover.

That means, it would be a total mess up if these players leave the club along with manager Benitez because Liverpool fund is not strong enough to bring in qualify replacements. So, the club’s future looks really bleak at the moment and I would not be surprised if they finish at a lower place in premier league next season.

I would suggest that they should find someone like Arsene Wenger who can make a strong youth side and at the same time can keep the club in the top four with limited resources.
