Manchester City Wins against United 2-1 in Carling Cup 1st Leg

It was an exciting match and Manchester Untied lost it despite scoring the first goal. Calros Tevez was the hero for the City and much to the delight of the fans; he scored both the goals for his club. Naturally, he was adjudged as the man of the match. At the end of the first half, the score was 1-1.
Manchester United created more chances in first half and they naturally took the lead through Ryan Giggs on 17th minute. The home fans had to wait for 25 minutes after that. In the 42nd minute, the referee awarded a penalty to Manchester City. Carlos Tevez fired a powerful shot and the score was 1-1.
In the second half, both the teams attacked. Rooney threatened on several occasions but it was not his day and he did not get any goal in the end. In 65 minutes. Tevez headed the ball to goal and for the rest of the 30 minutes, his team had to hang on. United players attacked over and again but it was surely not their day.
46,067 came to watch this exciting first leg of Carling Cup 2010 semifinal between Manchester City and Manchester United. The second leg will take place on Wednesday, 27 January 2010.
