Birmingham secure a Much Needed 1-1 Draw against Tottenham

Tottenham dominated the entire match but in the end, it was the lucky day of Birmingham. Liam Ridgewell scored in injury time to rule out a lead of Tottenham Hotspur that came from the goal of Defoe in 69 minute. This season, Birmingham is in impressive form at home and with this draw, they are at the 8th position. Tottenham is still in the fourth position but Liverpool is very close to them in league table with just one point behind. Both the goals came in second half after a goalless first half.
In the first half, both the teams had almost equal share of ball position but Tottenham played better. Tottenham got seven attempts on target and seven attempts off target. On the other hand, Birmingham could get only two attempts on and off target both. The best part of the match in the first-half was that the players tried to give a clean match and there was no yellow card on that part of the game. Tottenham came close on one or two occasions but they could not capitalize and scored the much needed goal.
