Steven Gerrard to Miss Liverpool’s Premier League Fixture at Arsenal

Spirited Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard will miss Liverpool’s crucial premier league match against Arsenal on Tuesday as he has been sidelined for 7 to 10 days with a groin injury which was aggravated during a training session prior to Liverpool’s second leg Champions league match up with Chelsea on 14 April 2009.

With 70 points from 32 outings, Liverpool now sits in the second place of the league table and the Reds are now the biggest threat to Manchester United’s run to defend the premier league title. United still leads the point table with 72 from, but has a match in hand. So, for Liverpool, picking up 3 points from their visit to Arsenal is very important in their bid to win their first premier league title in 19 years.

So, missing Gerrard for the match is a huge blow for the Reds, and though they have some talented midfielders like Alonso, Benitez boys will definitely miss their captain at Anfield. Now, let us see if Liverpool can cope up with the situation effectively and churn out a result in their favor against Arsenal.
