Siddharth-The Prisoner: A movie on imprisonment and freedom

Siddharth - The Prisoner is a story of enlightenment and freedom. It revolves around Siddharth Roy, a once famous writer, who has just been released from prison. In order to regain his past glory and get together with his wife, Maya and three year old son, he writes a manuscript. Unfortunately, the briefcase in which Siddharth was carrying his manuscript gets exchanged in a cyber café with a similar briefcase full of underworld money. The money belonged to a mob boss and he pressures Mohan, manager of the cyber café to retrieve the bag.

Meanwhile, Roy did not find happiness in his new found wealth. He meets his three year old son and wants to get his custody. Mohan is now desperate. He is hiding from the mob and tries to find out Roy at any cost. The story of the movie is based on “Rig Veda.” It revolves around the theme imprisonment and freedom through renunciation.
