Mahendra Singh Dhoni Dating South Indian Actress Lakshmi Rai

Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has reportedly been spotted with South Indian actress Lakshmi Rai while having a dinner with her at a hotel located in Chennai where the first test between India and England took place. Reports also suggest that Lakshmi Rai went to the hotel, where Indian team resided during the first test, to meet Dhoni. Initially, she was not allowed to enter into the hotel due to security concern, but later on Dhoni convinced security people claiming that he had invited Lakshmi Rai. However, the actress claimed it was a friendly visit.

One India reported:

According to sources, Dhoni had come to Chennai to play the India-England test series. The actress had visited the hotel, where Dhoni was staying, but securities did not allow her to meet him. Later, she was allowed when Dhoni himself clarified that he had invited her. Lakshmi said that it was a friendly meeting. There is nothing special about it. “Dhoni and I are friends. I don’t see anything wrong in meeting up with him when he’s in town,” sources quote her saying.

Well, you can consider it as one of those stock responses that celebrity couples use whenever they are encountered with media or you can also believe in what Lakshmi Rai claims to be a friendly visit. Now, let us just wait and see where the story turns to.
