(This entry was originally published in this blog December 2008 and it is based on the information of that time.)

Hull City has already earned the tag of giant killer in premier league this season. The newly promoted club defeated a number of big clubs including Arsenal in their premier league campaign so far and currently secures the 6th place with 26 points from 16 matches. No doubt, Hull City manager Phil Brown is now very much delighted with the performances of his boys. Ahead of Hull City’s upcoming trip to Liverpool, Phil Brown, recently said that Liverpool is the best side in English premier league at this moment as it is shown in the league table. Liverpool is leading the league table with 37 points from 16 matches.

Goal.com reported:

“They are a great side, no doubt about it,” Brown was quoted as saying by Liverpool’s official website.
“To be so many points ahead of Manchester United and be ahead of Chelsea and Arsenal is a great achievement at this stage of the season.

“They have to be the best team in England at this moment in time, the league table doesn’t lie.

Liverpool’s performance was not very impressive in their last premier league fixture when they visited Blackburn Rovers, but still was capable of pulling off three points by a 3-1 victory. That is what, Brown thinks, is the sign of a very good side. Despite admitting Liverpool’s excellent form of recent, Hull boss did not forget to say that he was going to feature an attacking line up against Liverpool.
