Arsene Wenger: Samir Nasri and Kolo Toure Could Return against Liverpool

(This entry was originally published in this blog December 2008 and it is based on the information of that time.)

Ahead of a big match against Liverpool, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has hinted that French winger Samir Nasri could be back in action at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday after recovering from his injury sustained earlier this month. Wenger also said that injured Kolo Toure can also make a come back with the Lvierpool encounter, while striker Nicklas Bendtner is doubtful for the match with a knee injury that he suffered during training.

arsenal-mania reported:

Wenger said: “There is a 95 per cent chance that Nasri will be available against Liverpool and a five per cent chance that Kolo TourĂ© will come back.

“We also have a problem with Nicklas Bendtner, who picked up a knee injury in training. But we don’t know 100 per cent on that.”

With 8 points behind leader Liverpool, Arsenal can not but think of a victory over Liverpool. They have already lost five matches so far this season and can not afford to lose any more matches in their title bid this season. I am not yet sure if Eduardo will also be able to make his much-awaited come back against Liverpool.
