Abdul Qadir: I can Write a Book on What I observed as Chief Selector

Former Pakistan leg spinner Abdul Qadir said that he had gathered enough knowledge during 7-months period as chief of the selectors to write a book. The legendary figure of Pakistan cricket stepped down as the chief selector last month during Pakistan’s twenty20 world cup 2009 mission. He also added that he would talk about everything when the right time comes.

Regarding his resignation, Qadir said that he and his fellow selectors were not allowed to work independently. He also pointed fingers at Coach Intikhab Alam and manager Yawar Saeed, stating that they very often interrupted the selection process.

PCB has recently split up the senior and junior level selection committee and it is expected that the board would name just one selection committee now for both senior and junior level cricket. News has it in the media that former test cricketer Iqbal Qasim could be the new chief of selection committee.
