Sania Mirza may not be at the top of her game but on and off the court she always creates sensation for her fashion sense. The India’s female tennis ace is now going through a tough time, her WTA ranking hit the lowest and long time injury badly affected her performance. Now, Sania Mirza is looking forward to change her style and to do that, she turned to famous designer duo, Shantanu & Nikhil. The Telegraph reports:
Sania too is very happy with her outfits. Actually, we don’t know how it happened. Maybe she saw some Bollywood actresses (the duo design for Dia Mirza regularly and often dresses Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif). Maybe Serena told her, since they play together and also talk a lot.
Delhi based, Shantanu and Nikhil, designed dresses for celebrities like Maria Sharapova, Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra, and Katrina Kaif. It was Sania Mirza’s mother, who first contacted them. This was followed by a meeting at their office in Delhi Defence colony. After talking with her, the designers told her two put on two dresses. On November 1, 2008, Sania Mirza appeared at the Cosmopolitan Awards wearing their first dress. It was a long black and blue dress with a wide V-neck and shoulder straps.
