India might have won the first match against Bangladesh in the twenty20 world cup 2009, but Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni is facing huge criticism for bringing Indian team together in front of media to show solidarity in the team following reports out in the media suggesting a rift in the team. Moreover, he is also facing criticism for not attending the pre-match press conference before the match against Bangladesh.
However, former Indian captain Sunil Gavaskar does not see any mistake in Dhoni’s attempt to show solidarity before the media. Recollecting the memory of his own playing days, Gavaskar said that he himself did it in the past. However, he suggested Dhoni and his team to focus on the job they are assigned to without thinking about what is being written in the media.
