England vs Netherlands Preview and Live Score: T20 World Cup 2009

This is the first match of twenty20 World Cup 2009 and just before it, we’re going to enjoy the opening ceremony. England is going to take against Netherlands in the opening match. It will be a whole match for England and it should be a very easy match for them to win. They should defeat their opponent convincingly and plan for the next match against parties from which will be the most important match of their group. So, I’m not counting on any upset that can happen tomorrow in the opening match.

It is very upsetting to see that ticket has lost much of its popularity in England and in fact, most people in the country are not going to bother about tomorrow’s match in World Cup 2009 but they are eagerly waiting for Saturday’s match of world cup football qualifying match against Kazakhstan. In fact while I was searching in Internet, I could find many news items and reports in the British media about the matched against Kazakhstan but not many about the match against Netherlands. In fact, in the British media I could not find any sense of optimism about England of becoming the world’s champion in twenty20 cricket despite the fact that it is taking place in their home country.

This lack of optimism and confidence can be a bad thing but I’m sure that the Dutch team cannot take advantage of it because they are themselves very weak. Well, you cannot blame them for it because cricket is not a popular Sports in Holland. Dirk Nannes is perhaps their best player who plays for English county Middlesex. Ryan ten Doeschate is an all rounder hope place for Essex. Except for them, the Dutch squad has hardly any experience. Still, they are hopeful that it is twenty20 format of crickets and England is never a superpower in this version of the game.

In fact, England has never won any World Cup title. So, there is a lot of expectations from the home crowd to change this history but I feel that they do not have the quality players.

The match is going to take place in Lord’s Cricket stadium and it will start on Local 17:30 (GMT 16:30) time.
