Carlo Ancelotti Tried to Bring Paolo Maldini at Chelsea

Chelsea’s newly appointed manager Carlo Ancelotti attempted to bring Paolo Maldini at Chelsea. Maldini is the former teammate of Carlo Ancelotti at AC Milan. Ancelotti wanted the AC Milan legend at the English club for an undecided role, but Maldini refused to accept the offer as he wanted to spend more time with family after ending his 24-year-long career last season.

Carlo Ancelotti has been left isolated at Chelsea as his assistant coach Filippo Galli decided to stay at Milan to become the assistant coach of new manager Leonardo at the Milan based club. However, Ancelotti will get Andriy Shevchenko at Chelsea, whom he coached at AC Milan for many years, as Milan decided not to extend the player’s loan deal. So, he would now be back to Chelsea for the next season.
