Javed Miandad Appointed as Cricket Advisor to China

Pakistan cricket legend Javed Miandad has recently been appointed as an advisor to the Chinese Cricket Association (CCA). The former Pakistan great was offered the role in a letter sent by CCA and he accepted the offer instantly. Under this job, Miandad will be proving advises and suggestions to CCA on several cricketing affairs. The offer came to Miandad after he had gone on a tour to China last month as Pakistan’s cricket ambassador to the country. I guess you already know that PCB has already reappointed Javed Miandad as its director general.

So, Bada Mia of Pakistan cricket has now a number of jobs in hand at this moment. China is aspiring to become one of the cricket powers by 2020 and Pakistan has already provided lots of helps to China in promoting cricket across the country. In fact, the coach of China national cricket team is Rashid Khan, a former cricketer of Pakistan who last year guided China’s women’s cricket team to the semi final of Asian Cricket Council (ACC) women's tournament held in Malaysia. Javed Miandad is a very knowledable person when it comes to cricket and I think that he could play a big role behind the development of cricket in China.
