Ferguson Warning for Manchester United Players

Manchester United may have a five-point lead atop the premier league table, but manager Sir Alex Ferguson is now wary of complacency among his players as there is still a long way to go before Manchester United can successfully defend their premier league title. Going back to 1997-98 season, when Arsenal turned around United’s world even though at one point, United had 13-point lead over Arsenal, the veteran manager seems to have warned his players not to show any kind of complacency this season. The story of 1997-98 season was that United suddenly suffered from a spate of injury that affected the key players like Ryan Giggs, Gary Pallister, Peter Schmeichel and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The way Manchester United has been playing over the last couple of months, it seems that nothing other than such a series of injury row can stop United’s run this season.
