Sunitha Rao Reached Pre-quarter final of Gujarat NRE Coke ITF Women's Challenger

Indian tennis star Sunitha Rao has progressed to the pre-quarter final of Gujarat NRE Coke ITF Women's Challenger tennis tournament. Sunitha defeated US competitor Alexis Prousis in straight sets 6-0, 6-2. After Sania Mirza, Sunitha Rao is considered to be the next big star of women’s tennis in India.

Sunitha Rao, seeded 5th needed only 73 minutes to pull off an easy victory over the US opponent. In the first set, it was a total domination by the Indian star. However, Alexis tried to come back in the second, but all her effort went to vain when Sunitha clinched the second set by 6-2, breaking Alexis in the first, fifth and seventh games of the second set. There is no doubt, Sunitha Rao dominated over Alexis Prousis in the match. Now, let us see if Sunitha Rao can continue her excellent form in the upcoming matches of the 50,000 dollar-tournament.
