Frank Lampard Not Worried about Losing to Liverpool at Home

Chelsea’s formidable undefeated home run of 86-match in premier league was stopped last weekend when Liverpool pulled off a 1-0 victory over Chelsea. Chelsea was in high flying form and the defeat came as a big surprise to the Blues who did not lose any match since the arrival of their new coach Luiz Felipe Scolari. However, Chelsea’s 3-0 victory over new wonder Hull City in the midweek came as a big relief for the Chelsea fans who were worried if the club’s formidable run was affected by the lose to Liverpool.

Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has recently said that Chelsea is not going to stick to the defeat to Liverpool. Rather, the English international thinks it was just a tough game, but it does not mean that Chelsea will face any problem in playing at home. Chelsea will face Sunderland today at home after the midweek victory away at Hull City. He has said that Chelsea is a professional side who always plays for win. He does not even bother about losing the unbeaten home record because he thinks it does not matter losing a match after so many matches at home.

Premiershiplatest reported:

"We've had tough games at home," said England international Lampard on Chelsea's official website.

"It's been disappointing but there are no problems playing at home, and we've had great support.

"We're all very professional and want to be winners. Losing the home record is something I'm personally not too concerned about.

"It's a question of not dwelling on Sunday against Liverpool and we don't want a hangover of that. It's important to get straight back.

"In the long term losing a home game is not important if you go on to win the league, so it's very important we don't let it get to us.

There is no doubt, Chelsea is still in the course of retaining their premier league title as they are currently at the second position in the league table with 23 points, 3 points away from leader Liverpool. So, Chelsea is still active in the title race and at this stage of the competition, three points advantage does not seem to be a deciding factor. So, Chelsea fans can hold on their hopes, but to materialize their hopes of winning the premier league title this season, Chelsea must develop the killer instinct.
