England Defeated Germany 2-1 in International Friendly 2008

England defeated arch rivals Germany 2-1 in Berlin on Wednesday in a high-profile friendly match. Captain John Terry’s late strike brought a confidence-booster victory over Germany in Berlin. Upson’s 24th minute strike put England ahead in the match, but Helmes scored equalizer for Germany after 63 minutes. However, Terry scored the winning goal for England with 6 minutes off the time.

With this victory, England has continued their recent good form and a victory over Germany is always something special for England. Last time, England played against Germany in Germany was in 2001 when England pulled off a 5-1 victory over the home side. This time, the victory margin has been reduced to 2-1, but England fans are happy to see England winning the match in Berlin.
