Emmanuel Adebayor has expressed his worry about Arsenal’s title run after a surprise defeat with cross town rivals Tottenham Hotspur recently. Arsenal was leading 4-2 after 90 minutes, but they managed only 1 point after conceding 2 goals in the injury time. The Togolese striker does not think that Arsenal can win the title if they continue playing like this. He also termed it one of the difficult matches he ha played so far in his career because he can not believe how they drew with Tottenham as they were leading 4-2 after 90 minutes. He said that Arsenal almost gave up when they were leading 4-2 after 90 minutes.
BBC reported:
"To be champions in this way? You can never be a champion," Adebayor said.
"We feel very sorry for ourselves that the things are not going the right way.
"It was one of the most difficult games in my life because I cannot understand that after 90 minutes we were leading 4-2 - I don't know how we finished with a draw.
"It's very easy to give up because we were 4-2 up and maybe thinking the game was finished. With five, six or seven minutes to go, maybe in our head the game was over."
Arsenal is six points short of league leader
