Manchester United Manager Alex Ferguson Hails Jonny Evans

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has been full of praise about his irregular young center half Jonny Evans who impressed his boss with his glowing performance in the Champions League encounter with Villarreal and last Sunday’s premier league match against Chelsea. Ferguson thinks that Northern Ireland international will be a regular Manchester United centre-half one day besides stating that Manchester United turned down a number of decent offers for the defender.

Belfast Telegraph reported:

“I take several positives from our form, including the performance of Jonny Evans,” wrote Ferguson in last night’s match programme.

“Jonny showed why one day he will be a regular Manchester United centre-half. A number of clubs have bid substantial amounts for him, but we have turned them all down because his future is with us.

Manchester United boss is delighted with the prospect of Jonny Evans at Manchester United and he thinks he is at the right club. The manager also ensured that he will keep him giving first team football from time to time. Jonny Evans was not in the United line up for their 3-1 Carling Cup victory over Middlesbrough.
