Aston Villa has reportedly set their eyes on Chelsea midfielder Joe Cole for a possible sign ahead of the new season of English premier league starting from 16 August. Daily Mirror reported that the club might be interested to make a £17.5 million bid for Cole, who upon the arrival of Portuguese midfielder Deco this Summer might find it difficult to win first team action for Chelsea next season.
Moreover, Chelsea is seriously involved with a bid for AC Milan’s Kaka and Real Madrid’s Robinho. The arrival of either Kaka or Robinho would further make the competition intense in the midfield. So, the English midfielder might seriously consider a move to Aston Villa, even though he earlier expressed his commitment to Chelsea. Chelsea and AC Milan are talking about a possible deal for Kaka, while Robinho’s arrival in Stamford Bridge is still very possible though Real Madrid has not indicated anything satisfactory for Chelsea.
