Dayana Mendoza is from Venezuela. Many people thought that she would win the title of Miss Universe 2008. Dayana Mendoza has done it and again, South American girls shone in this beauty pageant. Many people in Venezuela are happy with the success of Dayana Mendoza. It was a tough competition. She has to fight strong challenge from Russia, Mexico and Colombia. It was an impressive win for Venezuela. If I am not wrong then I think that the last time Venezuela won the title of Miss Universe was more than a decade ago. Beauty is a industry in some South American countries. They again proved that they have some of the smartest and most beautiful girls in this universe.
