Michael Ballack Doubtful for Euro 2008 Final against Spain

You already know that David Villa of Spain has been ruled out of the final match against Germany with thigh injury. That is really the bad news for the supporters of Spain. Now, another bad news has arrived, but it is for the Germans. Their in-form Captain Michael Ballack is now doubtful for final showdown with Spain on Sunday. The midfielder missed Germany’s practice session with a calf injury on Saturday. Ballack suffered an injury on his right calf on Friday and he is now undergoing treatment. However, it is not yet confirmed if the star player would be fit in time for the final match against Spain. The coach Joachim Loew could not indicate anything hopeful.

Michael Ballack also missed the final match of 2002 World Cup final against Brazil due to suspestion. Germany lost the match to Brazil and failed to win the title of the tournament. So, if he misses the final of Euro 2008, it would be a big blow for German side. Meanwhile, Spain will miss their inform striker David Villa, who is currently the highest goal scorer with four goals in the tournament, as he is yet to recover from his thigh injury. Now, let us see if Ballack can become fit in time and take part in the final.
