Euro 2008: Organizers to Build Fence to Protect Mozart Statue from the Celebrating Fans

You know that Euro 2008 is going to be held jointly in Austria and Switzerland. So, the organizers are now busy with their last minute preparation ahead of the most prestigious football tournament of Europe. They are taking different measures and steps to ensure a successful tournament. Recently, interior ministry of Austria has decided to build a fence around the statue of the famous music composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, which is located in the Salzburg's UEFA Fan Zone. The fence will protect the celebrating fans to climb on to the Mozart Statue. However, fans will be able to take photographs of the monument of Mozart. A video surveillance will also be available in order to ensure the protection of the statue.

Euro 2008 gets underway from 7 June and continues till 29 June. There are 16 participants of the tournament. All the teams are divided into four groups of four teams. Two teams from each group will progress to the knock out stage of Euro 2008. Euro 2008 is going to be the only second tournament in the history of the tournament to be held jointly by two countries. Earlier, Belgium and Netherlands jointly organized Euro 2000 tournament.
