Germany and Spain will face each other in the final of Euro 2008. The whole football world is not waiting for this match with the hope of experiencing a classic match at the Ernst Happel Stadion in Vienna on 29 June 2008. Both the sides were among the favorites of the tournament though there were many who were skeptical regarding their success. Spain has been tagged as Europe’s biggest underachieved team due to their continuous failure in major tournaments, despite always being considered as one of the tournament favorites. On the other hand, Germany was one of the most favorite in the tournament considering their balanced squad, but their defeat to Croatia in the group stage came as a shock to their fans. However, Germany has come out of that patch after winning three back to back matches, the last two being against Portugal and Turkey in the quarter final and semi final.
Now, the question is who are going to win the final and lift the title of the tournament. You can come to the conclusion from different point of view, but when it comes to a final match of such a big competition and the two participating teams are like Germany and Spain, it is unfair to pick up a favorite. Germany is balanced side, while Spain has enough talent in the squad. So, you can really expect a classic match in the final of the tournament.
