Shoaib Akhtar Cleared for IPL by PCB Appellate Tribunal

Shoaib Akhtar’s five year ban given by PCB last month was upheld by an appellate tribunal of PCB recently. However, the star Pakistani bowler will have no problem in playing cricket outside Pakistan. So, Shoaib has will not face any restriction from PCB to play in IPL. Last month, Shoaib Akhtar was handed a five year ban from playing cricket in Pakistan and national team because of breeching PCB code of contract after he had commented furiously in the media on his demotion in the central contract with PCB.

Geosuper reported:

Akhtar can play anywhere in the world except for Pakistan,''said Farrukh Aftab, chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board appeal tribunal, told reporters.
He said that Shoaib could not play cricket within Pakistan and for the national team.

PCB may not have any problem with Shoaib playing outside Pakistan, but this is not the end of Shoaib’s misery. The pacer is now waiting for the decision of IPL authority because IPL authority earlier declared that they did not want any banned player to play in IPL as they had a strict approach towards discipline. Now, after reports on Shoaib’s ban being upheld comes out, Kolkata Knigh Riders, the club Shoaib singed for to play in IPL, Shoaib Akhtar himself are eagerly waiting for the decision of IPL authority on this matter.
