There is only one match left in Indian Premier League and that is the final match of IPL 2008. Following the two unexpected semi final matches, cricket fans are now expecting an exciting, mind blowing match in the final between Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals. The semi final matches were one-sided and lacked of excitement and thrill.


Chennai Super Kings vs Rajasthan Royals final match of IPL 2008 will take place at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy stadium in Mumbai on 1 June. The match kicks off at 20:00 local, 14:30 GMT. Dr DY Patil Sports Academy is the newest cricket stadium of Mumbai. With 55,000 seating capacity, it has become the second largest cricket stadium in the country after Kolkata’s Eden Gardens. The stadium gives clear view to the spectators from their seats. Bucket seats and cantilever roofs are also available in the entire ground. The stadium has 200 tonnes of soil from South Africa in order to make the pitch bouncy. Sand-based grass covers the outfield, thus the probability of injury has been reduced. The stadium has good drainage system. The four floodlight towers of the stadium are taller than the typical floodlight towers, thus making no problem for the batsmen in the evening.


Both Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals projected enthralling victories over their respective semi final opponents. Rajasthan Royals won against Delhi Daredevils by 105 runs in the first semi final of IPL 2008. In the second semi final, Chennai defeated Kings XI Punjab in the similar fashion by 9 wickets. So, both teams are now full of confidence and will definitely try their best to win the title of inaugural tournament of IPL.
