Rafa Benitez Sees Home Advantage Important for Liverpool in the Match against Arsenal

Ahead of tonight’s high profile Champions League match between Arsenal and Liverpool, Rafa Benitez, Liverpool boss, seems to be confident to outperform Arsenal and make it to the semi final of Champions League. The first leg quarter final clash ended up with a 1-1 draw which allows Liverpool to have the away goal advantage in tonight’s match. So, a goal less draw would take Liverpool to the next round of the competition.

However, Rafa Benitez said that he was not thinking about a 0-0 draw to get into the semi final stage of Champions League. He also warned his boys to become careful about Arsenal, who failed to score in four out of their last 26 away games. Benitez thought his team would need to score goal to win the match. However, the Spanish coach admitted that Liverpool would have home advantage in the match.

Telegraph reported:

"We need to win. I'm not thinking '0-0, fantastic'. At the end, I might say 'fantastic', but we need to score and win.

"The only advantage we have is that we are playing at Anfield with our supporters. We have confidence we can win. You could feel the atmosphere against Chelsea in the semi-final last season, and I expect that to be the same this time. Our fans can also hold the key.

Rafael Benitez also added that facing a big crowed away is not that easy for the players. So, he sees it an advantage for Liverpool. Arsenal progressed to quarter final defeating reigning champion AC Milan last round and they projected an emphatic victory at San Siro, the home ground of AC Milan. So, Arsenal would go into the match with that memory fresh in mind. It seems that Liverpool vs Arsenal match is going to be an eventful match.
