There is a lot of interest about the Indian Premier League (IPL) and tomorrow is the opening match. I know that many cricket fans have lot of interest not only about the opening match between Bangalore Royal Challengers and Kolkata Knight Riders but also about the opening ceremony. Many people are even eager to know if there will be an opening ceremony if Indian Premier League (IPL) 2008. The good news is that there will be indeed an opening ceremony for IPL tomorrow. The opening ceremony will take place in Chinnaswamy Stadium. You know that the match will take place at night at 8:00 pm Indian time. The match is going to take place in Bangalore and I guess that BCCI and Bangalore Royal Challengers are working together to give us a nice opening ceremony. I could not find that much information about it. What I understand is that all the captains of eight clubs will be present and they will take an oath to uphold the spirit of cricket. So, this is the best bonus for the cricket fans who will be in the stadium and in front of the TV set. Rahul Dravid and Sourav Ganguly are the two captains of the opening match. Both of them are former captains of Indian national cricket team. I think that this is the first time that these two players are going to captain their respective sides against each other. I am not sure if they did it in any Ranji trophy or any other Indian domestic match.

Opening ceremony of IPL will be much more than the presence of some cricketers and BCCI officials. You can expect to see fire crackers. There will be some beautiful girls from USA who are experienced cheer leaders and who will try to entertain the audience. Gymnasts will show their performance. You can expect that a number of Bollywood celebrities will be present. I know that Shah Rukh Khan and Preity Zinta both will be there and cricket fans will love to see them. Of course, Shah Rukh Khan and Preity Zinta will be there as part of IPL club owners, not just merely performers.

The whole stadium and neighboring areas has already been decorated and the organizers of IPL have taken a lot of initiatives to give the audience a very nice opening ceremony, Let us see how the spectators in the stadiums and TV viewers respond to this matter.
