Arsenal today played very well and defeated Reading by 2-0. It was a superb performance from Arsenal players after weeks of frustration and poor performance. It was a much needed to win to post their confidence after a few weeks. Of course, they have nothing to gain for the season. They have to now think of the next season. The two goals came from Emmanuel Adebayor and Gilberto Silva. Both of the goals came in the first half of the match. Arsenal players missed a lot of chances and they should have won the match by at least 5-0. They were a bit unlucky too as the shots of Robin van Persie and Theo Walcott hit the goalpost and also Cesc Fabregas came very close of scoring a goal.
This win perhaps hardly means anything for the club. In this season, Arsenal could not win any trophy. The only thing that may make their manager happy is that they won the game a convincingly. On the other hand, it was a bad defeat for Reading. They needed at least to draw the match. The defeat will even put them under more pressure. They would have been very happy if they could avoid the defeat.
