Manchester United Projected an Inspirational Victory in Premier League

Manchester United moved up within a point of Arsenal at the top of premier league with a 3-0 triumph over bottom table Fulham yesterday. Manchester United rested some of their key players thinking of the mid-week fixture of Champions League. Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo were on the bench, while Nemanja Vidic and Ryan Giggs were not fit enough to be drafted in against Fulham.

Arsenal, the leaders, was held to another draw on the same day. Thus, the differed between Manchester United and Arsenal was cut to one now. The Red Devils are now on the heel of Arsenal.

Midfielder Owen Hagreaves opened scoring for Manchester United from the 15th minute free kick. South Korean midfielder Park Ji-Sung then scored the second one for Manchester United. So, Manchester United was ahead of Fulham by two goals in the first half. Fulham could not show enough resistance against Manchester United. However, Fulham gifted the third goal to Manchester United as Simon Davies scored an own goal. Now, Fulham’s hope of survival seems to have been faded. If Manchester United can continue their impressive form then they will definitely have some positive result in their midweek fixture of Champions league against Olympique Lyonnais. I think, Arsenal will face a strong challenge from Manchester United in the coming weeks in their pursuit to win the title of premier league.
