Arsene Wenger Urges His Players To Leave San Siro with No Regrets

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has urged his players to prove that they are going to become a great side ahead of tonight’s Champions League clash with AC Milan away at San Siro. This is the second leg match of last 16 round and the winner of the match will be decided on the basis of the result of the match as the first leg match was ended up with a goalless draw.

Indicating Arsenal’s solitary defeat in premier league so far this season, Arsenal manager said that he was very proud of what his side achieved so far this season. Here, it is notable that Arsenal is now leading in premier league with a point ahead of second placed Manchester United. Wenger is missing his reliable center-half Kolo Touré as he is yet to recover from his knee injury fully.

Football.guardian reported:

Asked whether his side, currently a point clear at the top of the Premier League but unsuccessful in both domestic cup competitions, had reached a defining moment in their season, Wenger replied: "It is, yes. Above all, you want always to have no regrets. If you look at what people said about our team before the season, we have already overachieved. Now, no matter what we do, it'll never be enough.

Arsenal started the season being written off having no chance to win any silverware this season after Thierry Henry moved to Barcelona. However, Arsenal has been pretty much consistent in their performance so far this season, despite their recent lackluster performance. Most of the players are young but talented. However, the task will not be easy for Wenger’s side to outperform the experienced stars of AC Milan this evening. So, let us see if Arsenal can stave off the challenge of AC Milan at San Siro.
